Block unwanted calls on blackberry (UPDATED)

Infolinks

I put up a post b4 on how to block unwanted calls on blackberry but some blackberry users are telling me that junk call blocker refused to run on thier phones. If you fall into this category here is what to do.
I will give you two alternative methods to use

  • USE BLOCK LIST
To go to the block list click the menu on your Blackberry. From menu chooseaddress book and click the Menu button option in it. In the Menu choose Manage Numbers and then scroll for the Blacklist.

  1. Since you are using a Blackberry, you should become familiar with Blackberry's basic Block List
Go to menu and choose the Contacts option. In the contacts select the numbers you want to block. If you want to block an unknown number which you haven't saved in contacts then go to Recent contactsand select those numbers, whom you want to block. Confirm the block and save the contacts in your Block List by clicking savein the menu.To go to the block list click the menu on your Blackberry. From menu chooseaddress book and click the Menu button option in it. In the Menu choose Manage Numbers and then scroll for the Blacklist. Very simple

  • USING CALL BLOCKER APP
CallsBlocker is very easy to use. It provides a very quick block menu which includes the following options:
  • download call blocker here
  • Enter numbers to be blocked. Here you can enter numbers which you want to block. Here you can also use the contacts list or recent contacts list numbers by choosing the number from them by using this option.
  • Block numbers starting with: Here you can block the advertisement numbers which frequently call from different numbers for the same advertisement. The numbers should only differ in the last few digits. The option is also helpful in blocking numbers from a specific area and location.
  • Block private numbers: The app by default, blocks all the private calls.
  • Block Unknown numbers: Here you can block those numbers which often stalk you but you need to be careful while using it as someone from your contacts who got a new phone number and trying to contact you will also get blocked.
  • Block withheld numbers: Here you can block the numbers which are not released or revealed to protect the identity of the caller.
