I am going to show you a very simple way to shutdown your pc at a specific time by writing a very simple program in notepad and launching it.

To shut down your pc

1. Open notepad
2. Write code "shutdown-s-t 300". This tells it to shutdown in 300s which is 5 minutes
3. Save with the name "shutdown.bat
4. Launch to activate

To abort the shutdown use the following code "shutdown-a". 

Save as "abortshutdown.bat" and launch to activate.

To restart your PC write "shutdown/r", save as "restart.bat" and launch to activate.
