Windows 8, Flop or Technological Advancement.

Infolinks

Windows 8 has been around for quite a while now and i am afraid to say "the OS was made as a marketing stunt to draw girls into the world of computers".  I have been using windows 8 for some time now and i must admit that i love it because it has a very beautiful interface which is pleasing to the eye. Here are a list of reasons why i prefer windows 7 to 8.

  •   Windows 8 has a lot of compatibility issues, for example, the blackberry desktop software which works well on windows 7 will not run on windows 8 or 8.1. Many other softwares especially games tend not to feel at home on the windows 8 platform.
  • Windows 8 has a lot of driver issues which come up when you upgrade your computer from another version of windows to 8. Computer enthusiasts can agree with me that when you format a system with windows 7, you can usually use the sytem conveniently without driving it which is not the same with windows 8, if your computer does not come with windows 8 and you go ahead to install windows 8 on it, then get ready to look for the drivers as well
  • When both windows 8 and 7 are exposed to the same working conditions, windows 7 tends to be faster and more reliable than the windows 8
  • Apps are slow to open on the windows 8 platform.
  • There is a bluetooth anomaly present in windows 8. I don't know if it was intentional on the part of microsoft or it was a mistake that the bluetooth exhibits anomalous behavioural pattern on windows 8. When you connect a windows 8 to a windows 7 device via bluetooth,  you will notice that instead of having a connection that can be used to transfer files, the windows 8 device ends up using the windows 7 device as a bluetooth audio player. What method of file transfer should we now use on the windows platform if bluetooth can't be used.
  • You can not create a wifi network on your windows 8 as you can easily do on your windows 7.
These are all for now, if you have any counter arguement or you want to suppoort the motion, feel free to write in the comment box or post your opinions on the forum.
